This is my first time adding a photoslide so it should be a challenge. I would also like to add a tag. We'll see. I took my mixpod music off and added a song through rockyou. The lyrics are below my entry.

I took my stroll today and took some pictures of the foliage. This is really one of the saddest years for leaves in western Pennsylvania. They are usually a vibrant array of reds, oranges and yellow. The yellow has seemed unchanged but the red and oranges are just drab. Many lost the leaves without changing anything but a drab brown. They say it was the lack of rain.

I took a picture of the hill I fell down. My mom was at my house about five years ago, and Grizzly got loose. He took off through the woods and backyards and ended up on the main road. A truck was coming up the hill. Griz was just standing in the middle of the road. The guy driving the truck didn't see him. I had a bright red shirt on and literally flew over the hill screaming the pooch's name. The only reason the truck stopped was because he saw this huge ball of red rolling down the hill. I sort of startled him...lol...along with myself. That's when he noticed Grizzly still standing in the middle of the road like a dufus. So, I call that Grizzly's Bluff.

Getting ready for another week. Today was actually nice and pretty warm. It's going down to 32 again tonight. My car will be frozen. I was totally chilled last night, and my ears hurt. Luckily, it seems to have gone away.

Hope you all have a lovely week and that your trees are prettier than ours this year.

I got a pocket, Got a pocket full of sunshine
I got a love and I know that it's all mine
Oh, oh, oh
Do what you want,
But you never gonna break me,
Sticks and stones are never gonna shake me
Oh, oh, oh
[Chorus]Take me away (take me away)
A secret place (a secret place)
A sweet escape (a sweet escape)
Take me away (take me away)
Take me away (take me away
To better days (to better days)
Take me away (take me away)
A hiding place (a hiding place)
I got a pocket,
Got a pocket full of sunshine
I got a love and I know that it's all mine
Oh, oh, oh
Wish that you could,
But you ain't gonna own me
Do anything you can to control me
Oh, oh, oh
[Hook]There's a place that I go
Where nobody knows
Where the rivers flow
And I call it home
And there's no more lies
And darkness is light
And nobody cries
There's only butterflies
The sun's on my side
Take me for a ride
smile up to the sky
I know I'll be alright

Enjoyed the slideshow, Chris. Loved the tale about Grizzly and the hill. Lucky you were wearing red, huh? Our trees are barely changing their colours, as they seem to be taking their sweet time. Hope to take a few pictures before the leaves all fall, if that is possible.

Your trees are quite pretty even with the lack of rain! I was surprised at the fall foliage I saw coming from the airport back to Brighton last week. I bet that truck driver got a shock when he saw you rolling down the hill, I'm glad you saved Grizzly! Jeannette xx http://jeannettesnewtravels.blogspot.com/

Loved the slideshow!! CUTE!!!
It's always about 5-10 degrees warmer where you are from us. maybe that plays in with the Foliage?

I know the more north you go the more vibrant the colors get.
We think we have great foliage....until we go to Maine for Vermont!

I can just imagine you falling down that hill...hahahha i'm glad you were ok though!

((((Hugs))))

Great slide show. Texas isn't the best place for fall colors, so it's nice to see yours.

Our colors aren't vibrant this year either and I wonder if it is due to the drought we've had. Even in the mountains they just weren't what they were. I loved your slide, well, everything you can creatively put together. Skills in a genre I'll never master. Thank you for your loyal friendship too Chris. You've been so sweet to me, to wait until I get myself together over here on Blogger. I'm wanting to visit more but feel like my life is sometimes on a conveyor belt. Remember George Jetson walking his dog? That's me at times. LOL
You sound like a ball of fun. Glad Grizzly is just a Bluffer and not a memory. It's been cold down here too. Dirk turned the pilot light on the heater last night for the first time this year. Brrr.

We've been so dry here that we are not going to get good color this year either. Great pix though and love how you did it.

I agree Autumn has been rather muted this year. Last year was the year for pictures. Maybe it's for the best, I've been so busy I couldn't enjoy it if I wanted to. I'm so relieved that trucker saw your shirt and stopped in time. Grizzly looks like a lovable pup. (Hugs)Indigo

Hi Chris! That was a funny story... about Grizzly, the hill... it had a good ending. The slide show is beautiful... leaves here are on the drab side as well. I was noticing that as I collected leaves the other day... how the color just isn't there. I wanted to take in some really bright colored leaves, but most look more decayed than bright. The kids can still do leaf rubbings, though. Just miss those brilliant colors!

I love that song. I wish someone would take me away. It was such a depressing week. Anyway. LOVE the slide show. Glad that you AND Grizz didn't get run over by the truck. Reminds me of a story from childhood. (Like you want to hear it. LOL) In grade school & all thru school I had a friend & we walked everywhere together. Something you can do in those small towns. We could never agree where to meet. So we counted the steps between our houses & halfway between the two was a manhole that had been closed & covered with blacktop. So there was a bare looking spot in the asphalt We named it Bare Point and met there nearly every day. LOL Not bad for
4th graders.
Do you have any idea when I click on comments I only get a box that is about 4x6? Only some times. I can't get it to drag out to a larger window either. Only a minor annoyance. Hope your boyfriend only has a minor cold. I went to the DR Tues. I'd been doing good on diet until the past few weeks. I was dreading getting on the scale. I'd gained 2 lbs. I told the DR my scales weighed me 6 lbs lighter. He said his wife said the same thing. So I'm going by MY scales. I too got a flu shot. I KNOW they say it can't make you sick but I have felt like crap since I got it. Coincidence I suppose. Or hypochonria. LOL
Have a great weekend. Sneek in a hug to Becky for me the next time you see her.
Luv N Hugs, Barb

Very pretty Pics Chris!! I wish it were more like that here :( bummer...two of the things I miss most about Oregon Autumn's is 1.) The geese flying south and their sounds... 2.) The slendor of the colors as the leaves change...
