Steeler Mania/answers and More Questions/SNAG

First of all, I want to send all of you the biggest hug in the world. You've all come through for me with your love and support. Feel free to snag the first of the Valentines Day tags I made (actually the only one so far.)

Steeler mania has swept the Burg big time. Truthfully, I never expected the Steelers to end up at the Super Bowl this year at all. Total surprise. I thought the Titans had it in the bag. Anyway, this city is going absolutely crazy, me included. LOL at the first of my Steeler maniac pics below. Some guy at work gave me those black things to put below my eyes. This pic was taken with my cell phone.

So, anyway, my black mood has lifted. Good news/not so good news. I had a gyne appointment on Thursday. I hadn't had one in 3 or 4 years because my doctor moved to Fla. My fault, of course, for putting it off. Anyway, may be too much info for some but I've been in menopause for 6 years. The doctor was examining me and asking me if it was my time of the month...heck no. Had I had any bleeding....nope. My endometrial tissue is too thick so I'm having an ultrasound done tomorrow and a biopsy will be scheduled if the uterine lining is too thick. He feels and I agree that my hormones are raging again which would explain the totally black mood after the New Year. My son asked me a week ago if I was having PMS. LOL...I didn't think so but now I do. I think I was having a horrendous bout of PMS. It's been so long I had forgotten how out of whack emotionally I used to get right before my period.

So, off I went to get a bunch of blood work done to check my hormone levels and thryoid. If my hormones are out of whack, then the pituitary gland and another gland need to be checked. Too many things to think about so I choose not to. Megan, bless her, says it's going to be just fine because of her experience. My Joey thinks I'm hiding something. I'm not because the doctor said very little. My BF was so upset. Now, he's saying he doesn't think I'd be strong enough to handle anything bad and that's what upset him. Pffft....Pissed me off, pardon my French. I'm far stronger than he imagines. He wouldn't be able to handle it, in my opinion. So, good thoughts, prayers, etc. please. It will probably be a while before I know what's going on.

I'm plodding away at visiting your blogs. Forgive me if it's taking me a while. I seem to be so far behind all the time.

Love n Hugs to all.....CHRIS

Hi Chris,

I had a hysterectomy in my late 30`s so I haven`t suffered much in the way of Gynae problems since then. I did find I had menopausal symptoms much earlier though. I take HRT and it made such a difference once the moods and flushes started. Good luck with the tests.

Love and ((Hugs))

I snagged the Valentine's Day tag and I thank you and I appreciate it in advance. It's very cute. And speaking of cute, you still are. Now listen. I don't want you to get into a panic about anything one way or another regarding whatever the Dr. might tell you. I'm going to ask in faith that everything will be fine with you, ok? And whatever the verdict is, in the end, you're going to be fine. I'm here to laugh with and to cry with if you need me. Please keep in touch and let me know. I love you and I care.

My son would love the graphics and he has the song on his cell phone, he was one happy Steeler's fan, LOL. He would have killed for the eye pads.

Good luck with all your tests, they are a pain. I think you would be strong enough also, you just take what is throw at you is how I handle it.

I've been premenopausal for 2 years now (sounds almost impossible as I'm only 43, but the dr. is pretty positive). I never know when and if I get that time of the month. I either want it done with, or at least on some sort of schedule would be nice.

You know I'll definitely be keeping you in my prayers on the smoke dear friend. I think your bf is the one who would have a problem dealing with whatever you have to face, not you. (Hugs)Indigo

can't read you, yours is one of the blogs that the font is weird to me. i checked with another blogger & she changed her font as a test & found i could see it fine when she selected arial. so evidently i'm missing some fonts in my windowsxp.
i gather from comments you're having a hard time & to undergo some tests? please email me if you need prayer.

the steeler song has such a GREAT beat, leaves me dancing in my seat. LOL
have a good week.

I'm premenapausal and hating it. My hormones are all over the place and was told that has something to do with my depression also. Have you seen the lastest Oprah show? If not, go to her website. It's a whole show geared to premanapuse and menapause.

Cute tag hun! I will be sending happy thoughts and prayers your way that your results are nothing serious! I believe your BF would have a harder time deaing with anything than you. You look beautiful in that pic! Love the eye patches ;) I am so happy for you that your black mood has lifted. Seems to be going around lately........
Hugs to you

Hi Chris,
I will keep you in my prayers. I know waiting is so darn hard. I have been in menopause for 1 1/2 years and I swear I will still get pms once in a while.
Thanks for the snag. And I want you to know that I love your new look:)
Prayers and hugs,

Hi Chris,
I understand how your hormones can place you totally out of wack.
Mine are playing crazy for over a year now.... on and off.... I wish it would be over with and they would settle down and make up their mind which way they want to
I hate to go to the endocrinologists.... there is so much to learn and to know about hormones and stuff.
Always something else, isn't it?
I wish you the best.

Hiya GF, Sorry you're having to go through tests. I hated all that gyno bizness. LMAO. That's why when I had to have a hysterectomy when I was 33 I was tickled. LOL I highly recommend them. The sooner the better. LOL Not really. Of course I took HRT for years then quit a couple years ago. I started having menopausal sypmtoms again about 6 months ago and am back on a low dose hormone. Know I have you in my prayers. I know you can handle whatever life hands you.
I bet Steeler Fever is running rampant!!! We like the Steelers.
I'm glad they're in. LOVE the pic of you with your Steeler stickers. You having a big party? I'll be there with bells on. LOL
Take care of yourself.

I'm sorry to hear about the depression you were going through and now the whole "woman" stuff. I hate going to the GYN (don't know anywone who does) so I've got my fingers crossed that everything comes back normal. I've heard menopause can be quite the rollercoaster for many, many years so I'm hoping it's just throwing you a loop and things will get back to normal again. I've got my fingers crossed for you....and a big hug from me to you.
Love that pic of you by the way...too cute!

You like the Steelers or what? LOL... Crazy Girl. See why I love you?! That hairstyle is so YOU. teehee... Are you sure you have PMS? I thought that was the way you are all the time. ha ha ha ha... Just joking... Seriously, what happens when your hormones are out of whack? I have thyroi* troubles but it means it is har for me to lose weight. The girls at work are always PMS-ing. I am happy that I never get like that because they are scary.
